Christmas Dinner

I promised my mom I would post a picture of the 14 lb christmas ham.. so here it is! After 4 hours in the oven, its ready for a feast! With the leftovers, I am going to make ham soup, ham sandwiches, ham fried rice... you get the point.
Zachary celebrated his first Christmas with our friends! He had a good time playing with our guests and was just a delight.
Christmas is all about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We remember that there is a God who saves us from our sins by sending a saviour to the world. Those who repent and believe in Jesus Christ can have eternal life with God. Death no longer has hold over us because Jesus' death on the cross brings life. As live here on earth, we experience death, sin and sorrow. Christmas may be a particularly difficult time for many as we recall the sufferings that we may be experiencing right now. But there will come a time when this will no longer be. When Christ comes again, we will dwell in the house of our heavenly Father for eternity. That is the hope that we have; and for that we rejoice.
