I thought I would write a bit about what eugene has been doing at the internship at church. Besides listening to Jazz on the weekends with fellow interns Royce (top), Kevin and Nathan (from left), and studying the thick Introduction to Jazz (book on table), he is actually working quite hard. Each week, the interns have to read a few chapters of The Christian Ministry (Charles Bridges), Polity, Nine Marks of a Healthy Church, and The Deliberate Church as well as another full book assigned each week. They write papers daily which are to be on Paster Dever's desk by 5:30pm. Each week, these men get to discuss what they have read and think about how it would be helpful to them in their ministry ahead.
Its a full load.. but it has been so much joy. Its a blessing to have been here and to have the opportunity to get to know so many people who have clearly helped us to know what it means to serve God with our lives. We pray that the Lord continue to encourage all of you and teach you to know Him and His son Jesus Christ.
