Dear Ruth,Thank you for being a dear friend to all of us. I remember when I first arrived in DC and was introduced to you. At that time, I didn't know many people at all and was so thankful to your kind invitation to lunch and to the picnic. Who knew that 3 years later we would be great friends and celebrating your birthday in this way?
