Sky Meadows State Park

Raspberries that we picked along the way - they tasted so, so good.
David making ice cream in a bucket of ice - the way they used to do in the 1900s. rich and creamy...
What a glorious day! Beautiful hiking weather, lemonade and fresh made ice cream at the end of the hike, quaint town of Middleburg VA and just amazing views of rolling hills.

We finally got to go out hiking together with Grace and David Verhey, who are dear friends of ours. The Verheys, like us, share a love for the outdoors and nature. We were so glad to be able to get out this weekend to enjoy the beauty of creation.

The Verheys are one of the sweetest people we know, who are characterised by their gentle demeanor, genuine warmth and lovely smile towards people that they meet. They are a joy to be with.

We were sad for the day to have ended... but we are starting to plan our next trip already - Bluegrass country, here we come!
