Wedding Anniversary

Dinner at a provincial French restaurant in Greenwich Village, New York City - A.O.C. (appellation d’origine contrôlée) Bedford. Food was fabulous and we had a good time!

Wafer-thin octopus “carpaccio” washed with extra-virgin olive oil
Grilled Scallops
Fatty duck served medium rare .... yummy!

Today we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary, which to many, is no big deal. But, we are so thankful for 3 sweet years that the Lord has given to us as husband and wife... and we are looking forward, Lord willing, to continuing this journey together.

Married life has been fun. Eugene and I have discovered many ways in which we are similar, and many ways that God, in His graciousness, has made us different. Eugene is the more careful, neat and patient one between us; I am the more quick to act, intolerant and fussy one! So, you can imagine how much we complement each other =)

The 3 years we have spent in DC have been just so good for us. Being at Capitol Hill Baptist Church has had a strong influence on our lives as so many of our friends here have taught us what it means to build our marriage and family centred on Christ.

Who knows what is in store for us tomorrow? But we know that we are joyful for everyday that the Lord has given to us in marriage.

Congratulations on your anniversary! :)

A book on marriage that I've found very helpful is Wayne Mack's "Sweethearts for a Lifetime". It's very insightful.

God bless!
