Hong Kong 1

It has been a fun few days staying with my brother in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a city of contrasts. It is one of the world's largest financial hub, densely populated with major shopping malls and fashionable young people walking down the streets. On the hand, it has also preserved a lot of the old - wet markets, small traditional shops, narrow streets with roadside stalls and most people still speak mainly cantonese by choice. It is a real juxtoposition of the modern materialism with a traditional Asian flair.

Food and fashion characterize Hong Kong; people would seek out the best dumplings, noodles, sushi and really any type of food within the small city. We saw a lot of gourmet western food products at the supermarket that we probabky do not even find in the US!

Seafood at Sai Kung.. Pick and eat! some of it was a bit scary even for us...

This was the absolute BEST dumplings I have ever had. It had a perfect texture on the outside (not too soft or thick) with fish and leek filling.
