Spot the BEAR!
Bacon for breakfast
We packed a carload of good stuff and spent our long weekend at Shenandoah National Park. It was a lovely time spent with friends in the outdoors "roughing it out" and foregoing luxuries like showering (which cost US$1 for 5 mins).
We managed to get help from our tent neighbours on how to start a fire. After some patience, we got it going and had a round of the great American S'mores by the fire.
Thanks to our friend Ruth with perfect vision, we managed to spot the bear during our hike, much to the delight of Miss Hope Henry, who was looking out for one.
We were tired out by the night and had a few rounds of cards. Candace and I could not get our act together and fared rather poorly at the game of Hearts.
It was a lot of fun... and a nice adventure. Look forward to our next trip gals!
