God's sufficiency

We've just heard news that our grandmother has dislocated her hip and potentially has to undergo difficult surgery. She is in her 80s and an operation at her age always carries with it significant risks. Claire and I seek your prayers for our grandmother's health. More importantly, she is not a Christian and we pray that God would open her heart to believe the gospel. Indeed it is during times like these that we are reminded of God's sovereignty and sufficiency in all things. For those who belong to Christ, trials deepen our dependence upon God, who works all things for the good of His people and for His own glory.
