It has been a special time for Eugene and I to share in the joy of the wedding of Chris and Tessa Ambridge, our beloved friends. We praise God for how He has brought both of you together in such a sweet way.
A few things that we found really special:
i) The diversity in cultures present in the bridal party and the comforting British accent. We love it! It was particularly sweet to meet the bridesmaids and groomsmen from all over the world... and to hear stories of how you all have been such an important part of Chris and Tessa's lives.
ii) Seeing the childhood pictures of Chris! i loved the slide presentation and getting to know the multi talented Chris Ambridge. I particularly loved the pictures of Chris's growing up years in Tanzania and the stories that your parents had to tell.
iii) Thabiti's message at the church service was such a good reminder of what marriage is meant to look like. Marriage is founded on the love of God. It is a picture of the gracious love of Christ for His bride, the church. As husbands and wives, we have a high calling to display God's glory to a watching world.
iv) The lovely bride... need we say more? Tessa was beautiful.
Overall, it was a picture of great joy and excitement that really captured our hearts.
A special message for Chris and Tessa:
Marriage is wonderful. There will be days of great joy and days when it is hard; but God grants grace for all of those days. May your love for our Lord grow and abound, and may your love for each other deepen with the passing years. May your marriage be used mightily for the glory of God and for the blessing of His people.
