We spent the Christmas week in California driving down the Pacific Coast highway... and then up to Sonoma Valley and Napa. It was an eventful week and we are so thankful for the Lord's mercies in many big and small ways. Even though we all fell sick at various points, the Lord provided for us and made the bumps smooth... such are the adventures of travelling. It was a sweet time. Some highlights:
- Zachary touching the starfish and sea cucumber at the Monterey Aquarium
- The beauty of the dramatic coastline from Monterey to Big Sur
- Seeing the sea lions and otters in the waters
- Zachary loved the coastal birds
- The Girl and the Fig restaurant at Sonoma: fantastic food, great service, and so so kind to a highly disruptive baby that evening [the port and fig ice cream was particularly memorable...]
- Christmas with the Ho family in San Ramon: Zachary got to meet new friends and we got to spend a nice Christmas with our friends and their family.
