The Painted Desert - a suitable name indeed given the pretty pastel colours..

The Grand Canyon

When you behold beauty, it often leaves you breathless. Such was the beauty of the places you see in the pictures above.
Eugene and I spent 5 days in Arizona. We had such a good time relaxing at the Adobe Graham Inn, in Sedona, which was just gorgeous. We enjoyed long three course breakfasts every morning (!!) before taking long walks.
Sedona is known for the red rocks that surround the town, leaving a wonderful hue at sunset.
We did a few wonderful hikes and long walks which was just so refreshing and relaxing. I think the most memorable scenery was the Painted Desert. I never knew a desert could be so beautiful... but here it was. It was as if someone had painted the different layers of rock so as to give it colour and light up the blue sky.
We really appreciated the time away -- we were both refreshed and thankful to the Lord for His wonderful gifts to us. May the Lord bless you and keep you all in Christ Jesus this Christmas...
